A cat took matters into his own paws to get what he wanted after spending a long time outside.

An orange tabby named Louie was taken to Clifton Animal Shelter last month for a better life.
Too gentle to survive on the streets, Louie had spent time as a stray before being rescued.
Once at the shelter, he quickly relaxed, gladly accepting affection and care from the staff.

“This incredibly handsome boy is about a year old and as sweet as they come. He deserves a safe, loving home where he can truly thrive.”
After receiving some much-needed affection and a hearty meal, Louie settled comfortably into his kennel. He nestled against his little green pillow, eagerly awaiting the next visit from his human friends.

It didn’t take long for Louie to come out of his shell. As he revealed his beautiful personality, he quickly had everyone wrapped around his little paw.
He greeted volunteers as soon as they arrived, ready to shower them with purrs and snuggles. His gentle and affectionate nature made him a comforting presence for anyone seeking a cat fix.

He rolled onto his back, gazing up at his people until they opened the kennel door and scooped him into their arms.
“This incredibly sweet boy was rescued after wandering the streets for too long. He was clearly never meant to be outside—he’s far too affectionate and trusting. He just wants to be close to his people.”

After waiting days for his forever home with no luck, Louie began showing a “new trick” as if he wanted to take matters into his own paws.
“Louie wrapped his arms around our volunteer’s neck, snuggled up against her face, and purred nonstop. He didn’t want to let go, and honestly, we didn’t want to put him down either. He’s just that loving.”

The tabby boy started offering visitors literal hugs, smothering them with purrs and affection, hoping it would persuade them to take him home.
“He is the kind of cat who will follow you around, rub against your legs, and curl up in your lap for snuggles. He adores being pet, leans into every scratch, and purrs with pure happiness.”

“He’s been through a lot, but despite it all, he remains incredibly loving and gentle.”
Volunteers were determined to find Louie a loving home, where he’d always have someone to cuddle. They shared multiple photos and a video of him hugging and rubbing his face against a volunteer. His endearing, charming personality won over countless hearts online.

“This handsome boy deserves a home where he can be cherished and return that love tenfold.”
With social media and the support of dedicated volunteers, Louie’s dream finally came true. Recently, he left the shelter for his happily ever after, where he would have all the cuddles he could ever wish for.
